After months of waiting we are finally back and Paige is raring to go! Paige has completed her homework and gives us three great reviews:
Paige talks Gimp projects and gives her thoughts on the new Alice Cooper album: Welcome 2 my Nightmare.
Paige’s homework for next show is to play and review to games she has never played before under Linux.

Great show as always.
You said you wanted show ideas. How about introducing Paige to shell scripting and for homework she can write a simple script of her choosing and discuss how she went about it.
That is a pretty tall order. I wonder what Paige things about that. I wonder what we could have her do. I have her recreate bashpodder!
yikes….seems complicated
Good to see you back!
thank you!^^
Great to hear the new ep! Loved all the GIMP stuff, and the reviews were very informative too. I haven’t listened to the LAS in a while but after hearing your review I have decided to give it another shot. (It’s just that there are so many great podcasts … and so little time!) I really liked the description of the concept for the logo and how you created it Paige, great work! I was wondering if you’d already seen http://www.sitasingstheblues.com … I’ve seen it about 5 times, so I obviously love it! … but I would be interested to hear your impression … there are some interesting copyright issues surrounding the music used in the movie, perhaps that would also warrant some research? Looking forward to 006!
Great show, a nice change of pace from the usual linux podcast.
Keep up the good work 🙂
GIMP tutorials are difficult to find, I think, because so many are not linear. They kinda just assume you either know everything, or you know nothing. I found a pretty good book from Pakt Publishing (available both as an ebook or printed book) and it’s got a lot of cool GIMP stuff in it.
Otherwise, if Paige DOES end up going to SELF next year, I’d be happy to sit down and show her some basics. And on Inkscape too. Once you get used to Vectors, you will LOVE them.
